Aircon servicing and repair in Singapore

General servicing, chemical cleaning and troubleshooting for wall-mounted aircon units. Tell us the brand, model and problem, and we’ll explain what the job involves before any work starts.

What we can help with

Aircon units in Singapore homes run long hours in heat and humidity, so dust, mould and clogged drains build up quickly. V2S Services keeps wall-mounted units cooling properly with regular servicing, deeper chemical cleaning when it’s needed, and repairs for leaks, noise and weak cooling.

  • General servicing Filter wash, coil and blower cleaning, drain flushing and a cooling check for each indoor unit.
  • Chemical cleaning Deeper cleaning of the coil and blower for units that still smell, drip or cool poorly after a normal service.
  • Water leak repair Clearing choked drain pipes and trays, and checking the unit’s level and pipe insulation.
  • Weak cooling checks Checking filters, coils, airflow and refrigerant pressure to find out why a room isn’t getting cold.
  • Noise and vibration Tracing rattles, buzzing and grinding to loose panels, fan blades, brackets or worn parts.
  • Outdoor condenser checks Cleaning condenser fins, checking the fan and reading pressures at the outdoor unit.

Common problems

Singapore’s heat and humidity work aircon units hard. Dust builds up on the coil, drain pipes slowly clog, and small issues turn into leaks and weak cooling. These are common signs that a unit needs attention.

  • Water dripping from the indoor unit
  • A room that takes too long to cool, or never gets cold
  • A musty or sour smell when the aircon starts
  • Rattling, buzzing or clicking sounds
  • Weak airflow even on high fan speed
  • The outdoor unit runs but little cool air comes out indoors

Air Conditioning questions

How often should my aircon be serviced?

Many Singapore households service their units every three to four months because of the humidity and daily use. Units that run for long hours, or homes with pets or nearby construction, may need it more often.

What is the difference between general servicing and chemical cleaning?

General servicing cleans the filters, coil surface and drain. Chemical cleaning uses a cleaning solution on the coil and blower to remove buildup that a normal service can’t reach. We only recommend chemical cleaning when the unit needs it.

Why is my aircon leaking water?

The usual causes are a choked drain pipe, a dirty coil or a unit that isn’t level. Send us a photo or video of the leak on WhatsApp and we’ll tell you what needs checking.

Do you service all aircon brands?

Tell us the brand and model when you contact us, and we’ll confirm whether we can service it.

Why does my aircon smell musty?

Mould and bacteria build up on the coil and blower in humid conditions. Cleaning the unit usually solves it.

Should I switch off the aircon if it’s leaking?

Yes. Switch it off, put a towel underneath to protect the floor, and send us a photo of the leak.
